Connect Bukku to BilNow

Bukku uses an access token you create yourself. No approval from Bukku is needed and it works on every plan that shows the Integrations page.

    Open Control Panel in Bukku

    Log in to Bukku on a computer. In the left menu click Control Panel, then the Integrations tile.

    Switch on API Access and copy the token

    Turn the API Access switch on and click Save. A long Access Token appears. Click Copy. Treat it like a password: anyone with it can write into your Bukku.

    Note your subdomain

    Look at the address bar. The word before .bukku.my is your subdomain. BilNow needs only that word.

    The highlighted part is your subdomain. Type only that into BilNow.

    Paste both into BilNow

    In BilNow open Accounting, find the Bukku card, paste the token and the subdomain, then click Connect. BilNow checks them with Bukku straight away.

    Choose accounts and switch on auto-sync

    Pick the Sales account your invoices should post to and the bank or cash account for payments. Pick your SST tax code if you charge SST. Set the date to sync from, tick Sync automatically, then Save.

    Done. Each document shows its sync state

    From now on every invoice, cash sale and receipt appears in Bukku within a few minutes. Open any document in BilNow to see the Bukku badge, or press Send now to push one immediately.

Questions

Will my Bukku invoice numbers change?+

No. BilNow sends its own number, for example INV-0042, and Bukku keeps it when your Bukku plan allows custom number formats. If it does not, Bukku gives its own number and BilNow's number is saved in the reference field, so both are always visible.

What exactly is sent?+

Customers (as contacts), invoices, cash sales (posted as paid cash invoices) and receipts applied to invoices. Quotations, delivery orders and credit notes are not sent yet.

Can I stop it?+

Yes. Click Disconnect in BilNow, or revoke the token in Bukku under Control Panel, Integrations. Records already in Bukku stay there.

I changed an invoice in BilNow after it synced+

Revisions are not re-sent. Edit the copy in Bukku too, or cancel it there and press Send now on the new revision.
